Exciting new model news here!!!!
Wow. I didn't know that Ford was making motorcycles now. :)
you got me....greed got the best of me as I ripped into the web site to see the mc holy grail.....
What a potential pimpmobile!
Hook line and sinker............ <_<
Maybe it's true - I see only 2 wheels. Ford partnering with Honda to make the ultimate sport tourer. I'm going to ask Jay Leno how he likes his, since bought the first one.
I like it. I wonder what the gas milage will be?
<_< Looks like the Audi A8. Owe well, maybe someday.
Thanks man, you got me all excited for that. Honda is screwing up big time. Now ford will have the interceptor name. I guesss that's fine since we alll call them vfr's.
Funny, I thought that this forum was supposed to be about motorcycles. :goofy:

I do not know what I am talking about (in regards to this).... But, I'm interested...
Gee I didn't know it was April 1
Don't yell fire in a crowded theater----you're a bad boy
That could very well be the most unreliable interceptor ever . . . given Ford history in that department.
But does it have gear-driven cams ?

Should I take that at face value or does that sentence have a bit more meaning to it than that? :)

Fords version of the Chrysler 300.
Chevy's new Camaro has that same tall body and
streamlined roof.
It is either the current style or has good drag
coefficiency.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought, "Oh boy, I'm probably going to want to punch Rob in the shoulder once I find out what this is really about..."
Better get that shoulder ready, Rob... :pissed:

I don't think so, but I'm pretty sure there's no VTEC.

Ford's been using the name Interceptor for awhile. Not sure, but I think it's kind of their 'police' model. Not sure how they differed from Mercury Maruaders - also another bike name, huh?
Personally, I wouldn't care if Honda did drop the Interceptor label if and when they update/create a new VFR.
Yup, the Crown Vic Police Interceptor has been the primary police cruiser vehicle since Chebby dropped the Wimpala.
The Marauder was a great car. Made in the 60's for a few years and then, most recently, made in 03 and 04 to the tune of around 11K units. I owned a blue 03. One of 328 made in that color. What a great car to own, I tell ya'.It was the Crown Vic platform (as is the Grand Marquis) but they installed a higher performance suspension and engine than in a CVPI. They also give it a leather luxury interior. Something the CVPI never, ever had. Head to head an MM could blow the doors off a CVPI in the quarter, top speed, acceleration, road holding and comfort.
The first thing I did when I saw the article was wonder if Ford is going to make the Interceptor name available to the general populace. Honestly, I think it would be a shame for them to do that.
Best,
Dan
It's going to be a looooooong winter :pissed:
