A friend copied my Two brothers racing Exhaust system in Titanium ! Complete exhaust incl. muffler is only 2.6KG... (originale OEM system -1990-1993 VFR750F- = almost 20KG)
Also the mechanical waterpump has been removed. Will run an electrical. The frame for the topfairing has been modified (less weight).

Yes Sebspeed, after almost 5 years the bike isn't finished...
Only the headlamp is still original. All other parts have been modified or replaced. But this year it will run on the road again!
Several people already asked my friend to produce a custom made titanium exhaust. Unfortunately he still has a lot of work to do for someone with a VFR (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/tongue.gif)

I have taken off 150 Lbs (68KG), the bike is now 379Lbs (172KG). (the weight of a 2006 Fireblade is 459 Lbs (208KG) -Wet- ) The weight of a completely standard VFR750F (90-93) with centre stand is 529 Lbs / 240 KG (-Wet-; incl. fuel, battery, oil, water )
Weight decrease by:
-magnesium rims -exhaust system -front forks (Fireblade Upside down) -fuel tank (alloy) -alloy subframe -hawker battery -centre stand removed -rearsets -tensiongears in engine removed -race alternator -VFR400 hub -carbon airbox -race seat -mechanical clutch etc.
VFR750F Standard: 90HP (at the rear wheel) 240KG. Every HP has to carry 5.86 Lbs My VFR837F: 125HP and 172KG. Every HP has to carry 3.04 Lbs
Exhaust is ready, frame modified. Only the headlight is still standard and will stay standard... (as long as I cannot get a lighter one with the same looks)

This is some amazing work there. Please do not take this as disrespect, but I am curious... Why did you deside to do all that to a VFR? Why not start off with a bike that is more suited to racing (IMHO), like GSXR or similar? I can imagine what kind of monster you could have had if you started off with a GSXR750. Or am I totally misunderstanding your intent? - Please set me straight if this is so.

@hobie1dog: It is a aluminum -standard- RC30 gas tank, weight saving of the tank; don't know The rearseat unit came is also RC30. But at www.pferrer.de you can find units you can use without modifying your RC36 subframe Yes, the rear sub frame is aluminum too. it is really light !
@Rice: like The Phantom already said: Suzuki does not have a V4 sport bike. I also want to have something different. There are already lots of special GSX-R's. VFR-F's with huge power and highly modded are not so common. About 5 years ago I started this project with 2 goals; as much power as possible (and still reliable) and as light as possible.

The picture of the subframe you have...is it the original steel one? Did you replace it with an aluminum unit?
The original is indeed a steel one. The -original- RC30 aluminum is really light.
Sweet work. some on here think if you remove 100 lbs from a VFR it becomes a CBR (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/tongue.gif) . still looks VFR-ish to me! im ready for the finished product pictures!
Where did you get those aftermarket rearsets from? It's something that I've been looking for, and haven't had any success. Your bike looks great btw!!!
