The song seemed like it was meant for that road. Hills, Native American history,etc... the song ending right at the stop sign without editing was just a bonus.

I got here in 2004, so I can't give input on the prior 17 years but it is now the 5th most populous city in the US and feels like the largest stripmall in the world. It a lot of ways it doesn't feel like a city (in good and bad ways); maybe that is b/c I don't live downtown but I do live right in the mix of Phx, Scottsdale, Tempe.
I miss Phoenix, it's where I consider home. I was stationed in Tucson for three years, and it seems that I spent almost the same amount of time in Phoenix going to Coyotes games, concerts, Cardinals games etc. I plan on moving to the Litchfield Park area when I retire in eight years.

It's west of Central Phoenix, north of Goodyear, and Avondale, S.W. of glendale. Go west on Camelback, you'll run into Litchfiled park. Al;though Canmelback seems to intersect almost EVERY road in the greater Phoenix area. Luke A.F.B. is just north of Litchfield. hope this helps. I can't wait to get back there. I miss the heat believe it or not. Plus being able to ride year 'round is a big plus.

Year round riding is a plus; especially when you go carless for a year. I enjoy the 73 degree superbowl weather more than the August broil. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/biggrin.gif) The worst is having to wear a suit when it is over 115. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/blink.gif)
I got stuck in one of those sand storms on the FZ once. Man, that was hell, but at least I got my fairings sandblasted for free! Pretty creepy when the sky turns brown.
Luckily, it soon went back to 120 in the shade! It was really tough wearing all the gear in that place. Feels like opening the oven door in the summer. Nice for night time riding though! (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/fing02.gif)
Also, the ladies keep the clothing to a minimum. It poses a real danger when trying to drive....must be something in the water out there...... (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/unsure.gif)

I was a few hundred yards from the parking garage when the haboob (sp?) hit me at a traffic light. You're right about the creep factor when the sky turns brown. Looks like something out of the Mummy movie. Now the ladies on the otherhand...very, very low on the creep factor (not including the oogling guys). This little corner of world has the got to have the highest concentration per population of very attractive girls just about anywhere....I'd put $ on it. (ASU campus/Scottsdale area). Of course, if I lost i would learn where the highest concentration is... (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/offtopic.gif)
The gear is hard to wear. I thought my Cortech GX would suffice...I was wrong. I was sweating through the jacket...not easy to do. I've found wearing a helmet is actually cooler. It keeps the sun from beating my head to a radish red color. Mesh is a must. Sometimes I just can't wear gloves, even mesh ones.
For really hot weather I usually wear pilots nomex gloves. You can order them from USCAV.COM if you don't have access to a military base. They won't hold up too well in a high speed crash, but when I'm riding in/through the city my speeds don't get to high anyway. They keep your hands fairly cool. Mesh jackets are nice. Better option than the gloves. I hate trade offs, and having to weight the risks of riding, but I'd hate not riding even more.
Nice video. Looks like a fun road. What kind of mount do you have the camera on? It looks like the camera could do with being a little higher to get more of the road in. Not sure though as I've never done any on board stuff yet, just wondering how easy the set up is, do you find the camera gets in your way at all?

I agree the angle of the dangle could be a better. I use a ram gas tank mount (which is I think is listed as a type of bmw handlebar mount, do a search if really interested or I can doublecheck for you) w/ a 5 and 1/2 arm and a camera pivot mount. I had the arm angled back towards my chest. The 5 1/2 inch arm gives plenty of angle options. All orderable from: http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/RAM/ No interference with gauge cluster or riding at all.
