I am sorry it has taken so long to post. I hate work wish we could play all the time. Well I have finally done it. The Motad is on. The welds are not the greatest. They look to be a MIG rather then TIG. At first I was disapointed in it. But after I put it on I am very happy with it. The fit was excellent almost better then OEM if that is possible lol. It is a little trick getting around the center stand but other then that it was pretty easy. As long as you have very long extentions for your ratchet and a swivel. I think I lost about 5 to 7 lbs. The cat. is gone and the header diameter is noticibly bigger. Which in turn has made the exhaust louder and I am going to try to reprogram my PC II. actualy the price is not that bad at all compared to the others. That is why it is not polished and does have a few whelds. But if you can over look the way they look and you realy can't see any of it after you put your fairing back on. The fit though is very nice. The TBR slip on fit nicely back on. It has made a big diffrence in sound. As soon as I get it dailed in this spring after the snow is gone i will try to post a sound clip. It does sound a bit louder and meaner. I really like it myself. Can't wait to take it out on the road for the true test. Plus I have tried my hardest to find a set of headers for my bike and until now have had zero luck at all.
I would like to tell you all that the costumer service is excelent. They realy do a great job and answer all your questions. It looks like it's been pieced together from many different segments of tubing, with slip joints everywhere. Wish someone was making beautiful systems like the TBR or Erion full headers. No slip joints, minimal welds, nicely polished, etc. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/sad.gif) But it should be better than the smaller diameter tubes that the cat-equipped headers have, not to mention losing the cat.
I couldn't have said it better..... I'm glad it fits well, but it sure aint purdy. If I had unlimited funds and needed every bit of HP out of my VFR, I'd bring it to these guys. They seems to make pretty decent custom exhausts: http://www.arcfabrication.com/index.html

As the Motad importer we appreciate the comments, they are always useful to how we go forward.
Our impression from this side of the pond is that the Predator's are not as polished as the photo's make them appear to be, maybe somebody who has one can comment for us? We do not know this brand over here...
As for why Motad does not "polish" these is that the headers are completely hidden when on the bike, which makes for a whole bunch of time and money (ours and yours) spent for "countertop" show, but of no real use when on the machine.
The topic was discussed, but for the reason stated above, it was decided that it was not worth the extra cost or added price to retail, which is really what this is all about.

But we have many "pretty" studio shots of our products; problem is that the real things do not look like the photo's. That is why I was asking if anyone out there has one, and can say if it is actually chromed plated or at least a highly polished mirror finish like the photo shows.
We have gone to their website, and all the images we see (a couple attached) are standard finishes just like the Motad, nothing "shiney". We could be very wrong, as we have never seen a real Predator VFR exhaust sold to a regular customer, but there is not one "real" shot on their website that shows anything like the very processed image above?
I am sure there is someone out here that can tell us for sure, but we are thinking that they have a finish very similar to the Motad...
And please keep in mind this has virtually no bearing on either products function, just a matter of clarification so the products are viewed on equal footing.

But neither of these are left exits, and nobody we know of is making a left exit currently...?

For the ground clearance problems and other issues as noted, Motad has not shown any interest in making a left side exit on these up to this date...

Thanks. The left exit worked on the 3rd gen, 4th gen, rc45, etc, with the centerstand removed. I'm guessing it could fairly easily be made to work on the 5th gen in the same way.
