So let’s put together a group buy and see how good a deal we can get!
This idea came from the Sergent GB that just took place. Thanks 12 volt terry, dutchinterceptor, and all other in that deal. I would love help from anyone on this.
Please state the year bike you have (not Generation) and if you’re not in the US.

Because all the cool kids have em, of course (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/fing02.gif) they are supposed to smooth out the lower rpm ange, smoother transition to vtec, more hp, programable,,, am I missing anything? there are some threads on this.

I would be interested to see if they could do better than the $270 to $280 range I am finding online.

I definitely am hoping to get it way lower than 270. I am hoping that there is plenty of interest for this and we can get over 30 people. A local deal quoted me 280 a month ago. I only want to do this to get a good deal.

If I’m not mistake this can help take out the flat spot in the 5-7k rpm. It should help with all the other mods we love (exhaust & K&N).

Can I get some help on the labor? I figure with some help our odds increase on saving cash.
1. Start a thread to see if there is interest for a certain item. -done
2. Find all the dealers for that item.
3. Professionally and politely ask each one about a group buy.
4. Email back and forth about a million times.
5. Settle on a price and terms.
6. Make sure eveybody agrees.
Right now we have interest. The dealer locations are on the website and I figure step 2-5 can take some time.

I just did a quick search and noticed that most places offer it for $280-$300 but then I found THIS ONE. The one for the VFR may not be that cheap but it's worth a look.

Might keep in mind that the vendors will most likely be reading this thread too!

Good luck with it! I'm too broke to buy anything else. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/fing02.gif)

Well, this is interesting. When I was checking that site out I was starting think I might know this Jamie guy. And then I found the phone number, 920 area code, and now I'm sure I know him. He's worked at a couple of the local shops around here and appeared to be the Power Commander/Dyno guy. Depending on his willingness to work with us, I could definitely help to facilitate shipping or whatever.

Let's see how he responds.

Jamie verbaly told me if we have over 10 he can do it for 249 with free shipping. 10 hours after starting the thread we have 14 people. The Sandhills power sports contact (the sergent seat group buy) is also working with us for a quote. After we see what estimates we can get, and how many people are in we should be good.

Jamie said the normal price is 259 for the VFR. 249 with free shipping sounds good. Lets see if we can do any better.

I'm in if it's under $250

#25
Will we need to order oxegen sensor elimenators with them?

if you can do Sub $250 with the o2 elim kit shipped,
that will get a bunch of people in

(I think $225 is about perfect) (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/fing02.gif)

I need 02 eliminators for my 2001 bike. You cold always do the Radio shack Mod.

ggathagan, Feb 14 2007, 08:08 PMWe're talkin' the PC III USB, correct ?

Yes, PCIII USB.

update, Kyle Racing cant undercut fuelMoto with Jamie. I am going to still follow up some leads, but if anyone knows a dealer they can ask, please do so.

Sandhills is doing some research for a price and one other member is following a lead. Still the best deal is 249 with free shipping in the US. For the one Canadian we have in on it, it will be 19 dollars shipping with USPS Global Express.

2000 - In as well. I have a question though - is there any advantage to a PCIII over a PCII (other than USB hookup)? Any perforance improvements?
