Can anyone tell me if ABS was available on the 5th Gen?

As I know ABS was available from 2002 on the 6th gen bikes.

Nope, only the 6th gen's as an option.

Only 5th gen Japanese police VFR's have ABS.

Thanks guys-I love the 5th gen. Now I'll always wonder about retrofitting Japaneese Police ABS if I ever upgrade from my 4th gen..

No ABS but 5th gen does have LBS or Linked Brake System where you get partial rear brakes when the front brake is applied and vice versa.
