I' ve Designed an Adjusable rear set bracket. It basically fits directly in the same place the rearset is bolted to, then the peg bracket is then bolted to it. Im having a local machinist CNC the bracket and I was wondering what you fellas think. I don't know how much it'll cost for this bracket to be made but Im thinking that it'll be much cheaper to have multiple brackets created rather than just one. Heres some specs for it. Sorry theyre not in mm but in Inches, all i had was a standard tape measure. Maximum Adjustiblity is 2 3/8ths Iches back and 15/16ths inches up. The only issue i see is that the gear lever will not move with the bracket. huh.gif

you may have a problem with the length of the brake line as well. I fabricated a similar piece by hand and the brake and shift levers also need to have adjustment for comfort.
They've got a program you can download, design the piece, forward it to them and they will give you pricing based on the order volume.
Wow, I like that Idea. The only thing i would have an issue with is paying shipping when I can just get it done here in town. But its a definately something to look at.

Im going to try to create this thing as cheap as I can. And obviously the more deatil i out into it the more expensive it will become But I can find out tomorrow how much it will cost to create the piece. I more or less just tossed the idea out to the machine guy, and he said he could do it, but we never discussed further, so i decided to design something. As far as Thurn goes and their products, I think that theyre fairly expensive and being that theyre european, I believe that shipping would be pretty expensive too. Im in Texas so shipping would be easy anywhere.
Im going to look into the emachineshop.com and download their software so i can see how much they will charge for the creation of my design just to make sure this guy isn't going to overcharge me.
Thurn basically charges $143 for the adjustable bracket piece, so hopefully it wont cost that much.

Damn this program is frustrating pissed.gif So I'm thinking it s a learning curve, It does dimensions easily however its weird because each line or surface, or curve, has a particular function and you have to create everything in a 2D mode then assign each part its function and what machine will be doing what to create the 3D mode. Its difficult, but I'm still trying it out and I'll see as soon as I can to get this Info in. And I'm calling the machinist back to see what he can do for me.

OH MY GOD!!!!! This CAD program is freaking P!$$!NG me off it will not allow me to do what i want so I give up on it! pissed.gif But on the bright side its an awesome idea to have someone create a part that you want, the negative is that you have to design and have it built and if it does not work out immediately you have wait after the redesign to have it manufactured and pay for it again.
