Are 3rd and 4th gen windscreens compatible? I currently have a 90 vfr#62 and I can't find any mention of compatible wind screens in the archives. What if anything, have you folks done for improved windscreen performance?
By the way I'm 5'9" tall have a corbin seat and stock bars.

not compatible

BTW, I'm just a little taller than you and have never noticed the need for a different style screen. But that's just personal preference. Check out Maier (sp?), they may make a taller windscreen.

If you end up upgrading your windscreen, and would part with your original; I'm in the market for a stock 3rd gen windscreen...

I have my old stocker. Youcan have it for price of shipping.

I upgraded to a Secdem from Larry "VFRRider"Gates. I prefer the added wind protection with the laminar lip.

My OEM windshield is structurally fine. But aesthetically funky. Lots of western gravel and bugs have hit it. It's opaque.

I was thinking that it could be sanded, primed and painted to be like the old opaque body-color front ends of Ducati Pasos. I don't think you could polish it to be clear again.

It would probably be $15 for shipping. Larry spent a lot more when he sent the Secdem, but it was a huge box. (I appreciated it, though!)

Shoot a mail if you want it.
