Just curious whether anyone has a head start on a PCIII map for a '98? Mine has a K&N filter, custom underseat exhaust, and a fuel pressure regulator modded to 40psi. It's overfueling pretty significantly, so I'll be heading for the dyno shop soon, but if anyone has a good map for something like a '98 with Micron and K&N, it'd be a good start. Thanks!

Here is a link to the 1998 page. About half way down is 2 maps you might want:
M101-003 49 States Model - Use with Micron slip-on and K&N air filter 26 KB M101-004 49 States Model - Use with Micron slip-on and K&N air filter with modified ignition curve. Use 93 octane or higher fuel 26 KB

Thanks, George. Those maps are for PCII and I've heard they don't translate for use with a PCIII. Am I wrong?

I will have to check into that. I bet yout right though. I just want to have a dyno day sooner then later.
Bump... I'll be installing the fuel pressure regulator mod this weekend on my '00. I'm also replacing my PCII with a PCIII. I have a BMC air filter & Staintunes. So... I'd also like to have a jump start on a map so I can at least ride it to the nearest Dyno tuning center.

I just had a custom map made for my '00 last weekend. I have Staintunes, a PCIII, BMC air filter, and the Turbo City FPR. The map values are way way lower than the maps provided by Power Commander - obviously due to the FPR flowing more fuel.

So...are you sharing the map or just gloating? (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/goofy.gif)
Seriouslly, sounds like a great set up. Can you post a link or PM the map? I have been fiddling with mine for two months now.

I tried and tried to get them to convert these with no luck. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/sad.gif) I am using the Map for the Erion and Aftermarket Filter.
I am looking forwrad to Dyno Day! I need to do the start Valve balancing thing, and the Turbo City Mod next. But I think tires may put a hold on that, and now that I am picking up the 87 and it needs some loving......

I guess just gloating... (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/comp13.gif)
Right now I'm using the third of three available maps for a '98 VFR on the PC site, but I reduced every single value on the map by 4% to account for my FPR mod. The bike runs better than it ever has and I haven't even been to the dyno yet. Can't wait!!
Very nice. I will be traveling on business most of the two weeks between now and TXMac and probably won't have time to fiddle with my maps anymore.
I have been debating on whther to strip all of the body work and deliver it to the painter before heading out of town but I have almost convinced myself to pop for a GPS instead of looking good.
Good luck with PCIII and let me know how your map turns out. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/fing02.gif)

Tommy You cant load that map because its a PC2 map. Also the PC3 cant change the igniton curve. Go to the site and use the maps on the top. The ones on the bottom say PC2.
So I just figured out that the Group Buy was for the PC3 USB and not the PC3 USB-r. My price research never found the difference. So basically I can do the fuel pump accelerator, but I can’t change the ignition table. I wanted to change the ignition table and up the octane but oh well. My setup is a Micron high mount, K&N , desnorkeled/ deflapped (I gutted the top of the air box).
I would love to get a map for the 5th gen off a dyno if anyone has one (PC3 only).
