VFRD member? I dunno, at least we know he's kinda rich to afford all those goodies. Surprised he used a low mount R1(?) can to top off the custom headers. Damn, those forks must have cost him an easy 2K plus the cost of those brakes plust the CF fender and all the other stuff that comes with it, you're riding 4K at the front end easy! Eeek! It's a 200MPH front end on a 150MPH bike?? .............ehhhh I'm just jealous!

I would say a lot more than 4k with super bike fork internals, probably closer to 10k
SGVridgerunner, Jun 1 2007, 04:40 PMVery smart focusing on the suspension and braking capabilities of the bike, but that exhaust...Ugh!
If you're going to drop money like that, at least put an aftermarket can on there.
The Erion headers have a different exit angle from the stock pipes so something would have to be fabricated. That said, it looks like there might be room in the budget for a bit of exhaust work! I could also see the stealth advantage of a high flow/low noise stock R1 can.

10K?!! blink.gif Heck, I'll just buy a Factory Mille or 999R with the already standard Ohlins front and rear end and be done with it!..................cheaper! Anyway, unless that bike will see serious track time, SBK internals would mostly be a waste of money on the street. Must be that fantastic whiney V4 engine that's intoxicating the owner! JMO

Beck 95 VFR
I think the owner is a bit crazy do this to a VFR. I mean, the VFR is a great bike and all, but if you are looking for ultimate performance, there are ton of much better bikes out there.
Well Guys, now you should know that there are fortunate circumstances out there. Some times it doesn't seem so at the time but...after an accident when insurance company may be paying for some new parts but you are doing the work. That's how I paid for my RC front end and Ohlins rear shock...and a few other incidentals. But don't bag on some one that has made his bike the way he wanted it. If he likes it that's great. I sure wish I had those Brakes on my front end.

I certainly have no problem with him blowing tens of thousands of dollars putting the best go fast bits on a VFR, I hope he enjoys it. I still think he is crazy though.
Must admit those Ohlins forks on a Gen 5 do look trick also like the Gen 4 like Black paint on the fairing bottoms. Think he should take the next step and install a Wolf undertail exhaust though.

I agree, or he can just give me everything else that he has and let me ride it every day. [image: MeontheDragon.jpg]
Okay stop drooling over my bike. If you guys play nice, I will allow you wash it for me at the next meet! That is one tricked out viffer. I like the black paint on the lower fairing> old school and still sharp. Of course the forks are decent too> LOL!
