'00 Tail Mod

does the '02 tail and undertail exaust mod very easily to the '00? it's a sweet lookin tail and I think I'd switch it if I could.

Will the newer pipes connect to the older engine, or are they totally different? I can get the frame done by a friend, but I don't want to have to rebuild he engine.

The VTEC mufflers and up-pipe can fit the earlier 800's headers. Guys are already already fitting '98-'99 catless headers to VTECS no problems.

The subframes are different, you would need to cut and weld the VTEC subframe to fit the 2000's main frame.

AFAIK, nobody's done it yet. FotoMoto has fitted a VTEC rear section to a '94-'97 750, but that's another animal entirely.

I posted a similiar thread a year ago if you figure it out post up the how to. I was looking at the bikes and thought it would require a special piece that will adapt the vtech subframe to the 98 mounting points... but tell us what you find!

OOOOOO...that pic is sweet. That is almost totally what I am looking for. It will take some time, but I am pretty sure that is what I'll end up doin cool.gif
