Gentlemen,

I had 7 great years with my VFR but said "good bye" to it today.

The experience was the best I've had with any bike I've ever owned.

I have enjoyed this forum and learned a lot from you folks. the atmosphere here has been cordial and helpful. Oh, and knowledgeable!

I wish you all the best and many many miles of safe riding!

P.S. the eBay ad where I sold is here:

Man, how did you do the "Tail Locker"?

Taillockers were built and sold by a guy named Talon who stopped a few years back. I had one on my first 4gen and also had troubles with it like many others. Great idea and reasonably well executed but not 100% there.

Yeah, isn't that the coolest thing!!??

I bought a tailocker for a CBR600F2 some years ago and followed up on the guy (from NC) than made them. I saw him at a show and asked about a TAilocker for a VFR. He said he could do it but I got the impression that he was getting out the business. I pestered him enough til he sent me one.

Agree 100%. But it was a good thing!!!

So.... What's the replacement? Beemer? Duck? Goose? Hog? Other Rice burner? unsure.gif
You're not banned just because you sold your VFR. goofy.gif
Stick around, if you like. fing02.gif

I have this question about my umm, drainage duct. J/K, Not really. comp13.gif

So what are you doing and where have you been??? unsure.gif

One thing though. 18500 total miles in seven years? (2-3k a year).

good luck with your next buy.

Great write up I love to hear people write about their bikes when they love them that much, but I hate to see a guy that loves his bike that much sale it.

I've had my '98 since '98 with about 46,000 and I'm just now getting to investing in shock, fork springs, power commander and now I want work on it's appearance. To me it's a timeless motorcycle just like all the other generations of Interceptors. After riding an '86 well since '86 I can attest to their indestructability. That one has 86,000 and doesn't use a drop of premium synthetic oil between 3,000 mi oil changes. I miss that bike. May have to buy it back from my friend. I'm going to visit it this Sunday.

Hey UROTRASH : Good luck and hope you find a worthy mount soon. wheel.gif

I'm getting ready to buy a 1972 Dino 246GT. It is a restored car, scoring 99.5 points at a regional FCA concours but being an old Italian bucket of bolts will be demanding of time and garage space.

Here's a link although you might have to register to see it.

Wow, cool car, but you could build a new garage and fill it with motorcycles for that price!

Hey URO

Sorry to see you leaving the VFR stable. I saw you at the Gap a couple of years ago when you were in a red Miata with your daughter, I believe.

I was impressed with your stable of bikes at the time. Can't get too upset that you are trading your viffer for a Dino GT. I had the opportunity to ride in one of those about 30 years ago and I can still remember the sound of the engine (that beautiful whine). If you miss your yellow viffer, just let me know and I'll come up and we can trade rides (viffer - Ferrari) for a day. goofy.gif

Best of luck to you and I hope you visit this site from time to time.

Sorry ya had to sell yur bike; but, it sure would be nice for a change to have a seller say " I'm sure glad I sold that bike!"

'cause, it could be just me, but that is how I feel after I sell any car or bike 491.gif

i watched that bike intently for 5 days and was in the process of scraping together funds for it when it sold, oh well, i'll find one else where 491.gif
