Got My Header Back

well, i picked up my Jet Coated Header yesterday...i think that i have been spending so much time at the powder coater's shop that i may need to get a time card goofy.gif

sorry if the pics are crap, but i have spent so much on the bike that i dont want to spend cash on silly stuff like a new digi cam when my phone does ok..

Beautiful. May I be so crass as to inquire as to the cost of all this beauty? And, will they color with use? unsure.gif

I paid 165 that included the cleaning and 3 year warranty.

Thanks, now i just have to get the rest of my parts back from the coaters, oh and bearings, and an exhaust canister, and paint, and a chain...and a windscreen...and new fog lights...and gixxer mirror adapters...am i ever going to finish unsure.gif

That's what mine looked like when I first got them back, too. Mine lost the shine over time, turning a platinum color.

Yeah. They sure are pretty when you get them back. But don't let them get wet. I've had my header re-done twice with the same crap results. Jet-Hot Junk !! I hope you have better luck than me. Rust bleeds through shortly after they get wet for any reason. Oh they are happy to re-do them for you but do you want to have them re-done every year? See the photos in my gallery. i had seen the pics of urs before, but this company has done several other things for hotrods of mine in the past. the biggest ripoff that has con'd most is when companies say they are pressure coating the pipes, when in reality they are just painting them and baking the finish on.
I have a 3 year warranty and have had no issues with many of the other parts that i have had done....heres to hoping that my luck remains the same

So what company did yours? Is it a ceramic coating or something else?

Dont they do them in black also? I wonder how it holds up? Black stock pipes look like crap in no time from rain and mud.

I'm new to steel coatings. Is "hot galvanising" the same as what Jet Hot Coatings do?

Is there anyway to treat the pipes that is inexpensive?I really like the look of jet coating but 165 more than I would like to spend right now,Nothing I have tried has lasted,and they look like crap.

Looks great .....I just got a thought I wonder what it would look like to have the pipes powder coated the same color as the bike..I thinking SWEET!!!!!!!????????? Opinions...might just do it!
