Well looks like the Leo Vince exhaust for the VFR is being discontinued :pissed:

At least thats what the two parts dealers that I buy from said :pissed:

I talked to 2 different companies today and they didn't say anything about that, but then again they wouldn't if they are tring to sell out their stock.
The 2 companies were Devil Bike and Sportbike Track Gear

From what I thought I heard, it was only the Leo Vince TI exhaust for the VFR being discontinued.

Considering the following just on this site, of their cans, it would be a shame if they discontinued them.

The Leo Vince's are, IMHO, the nicest looking of all the exhausts for the 6th gen VFR. The Remus are close, but the LV's use of their own heat shield (in a nice matching carbon fibre if you opt for those cans) makes these the winner. Everything else just looks too long for the tail section.

Just contacted a Leo Vince representative. He replied today saying that they will be discontinuing their titanium cans for the VFR, but will continue producing the aluminum and carbon fiber. According to him, there has been no talk of discontinuing either the alum. or CF for the VFR.
#8
Thanks goodness they are still going to be producing the LV CF. That is what I am going to turn my tax refund into!

Want to share maybe?

Been thinking of getting a set in CF but all the prices I have found just seem way too high.

Send an email to Art at 10bomb <at> sbcglobal.net. He's a dealer for Leo Vince and his prices tend to be very good.

I just got a LV Ti system. Surprisingly, the cans are actually not super hot after a ride. After a few minutes, you can put your palm on them and won't get burned. Also, more exhaust goes out the left muffler than the right, just an interesting observation.

Well Leo Vince better contact PArts Unlimited because there is no listing for the VFR in the 2008 catalog...I`m pretty glad that they are still being offered as it seems to be an awesome product.

Cant wait till mine come in...suppose to be next week

I just don't get it. I was denied on my Leo Vince order for CF cans for my 02 from Parts 411. They now got back to me to say that these cans I ordered have been discontinued. But when I called Leo Vince USA, they said they are not discontinued.

What the f*** is going on with these cans.

I would like to stick with the Leos, but if I can't get them, I'll have to spend the extra $$$ and go with CF Devils or Microns.

Yup, never removed them as that's one of the, if not the, main reason I bought them. I didn't want loud just a nice performance sound. I now have that same set on my RCBVFR which doesn't have a cat and they are louder. You can find a video of this combo on that same youtube page, just scroll down the related videos sidebar. Shot with the same camera, on the same settings, and in the same garage so it's a pretty good comparo'.

I can not believe the quality of this product. It is by far the most complete and well made system that I have ever bought.

My wife says.."it now sounds like a real bike" I have to agree ,very ,very deep sounding. I was pretty amazed how much that little baffle insert knocks the sound down. I`ll install mine come inspection time just to avoid any hassle. Mass has gotten insane on its sound requirements....unless you drive an open pipe Hardley

All I have left to get is my Sergent saddle and I`m done

You know, Camperguy, it's weird but it almost looks like you have two RH pipes on there. The stamped logo on the end of the can beside the exit pipe - at least on my set - are symmetrically opposite. Based on the stickers that were lightly attached to mine (which I removed), the stamped logo would sit to the outside of the bike.

Maybe they stopped using two dies for the end cap or something.

Anyway, they look great (though I like them a bit better if you rotate them slightly upward on the outside). Congrats!

I installed mine last night. I thought they had sent me a wrong one but they didn't. They lined up good they look great and sound even better.Mine had the logo ready to stick on but I left it off.To me it looks better. I also removed the baffles prior to install. The fit and finish are great. I got the aluminum one and they have a satin like finish, not polished.
I'm looking forward to the Sunday Skuuter Crawl and the new sound of my bike.

PS...IF Leo Vince would make their instruction a little more clear I would have completed the total job in about 2 hours
