Rob,
I bought the same Buell XB pegs N006.1AD at the local HD store for my 93. I too had seen this mod on the later bikes done but no posts on the earlier models. Have you installed yours yet? I understand you either need to shim the larger Buell peg hole or buy bigger pins and enlarge the Honda mount holes.

Thanks for the info! Those really do look perfect, but holy crap, 105 Euro? That's like $150 USD! I guess I'm buying the $26 Buell pegs and breaking out Mr. Grinder! I'll let you know how it works out.
Funny you should mention that... I was all set to order the Thurn pegs, but then, thanks to a cager making an illegal U-turn with no signal, now I find myself ordering plastics (and just a few other odds and ends like rotors, and mirrors, and a lever...) instead...
I'll be hitting some Buell pegs with my grinder as well as soon as my dealer's wrench has finished with my Viffer; yes, please let me know how your install goes-- with their slow service queue, I'll probably be following in your footsteps.
Cheers,
Paul
P.S. Based on a chunk of web research, at this point I'm showing the Motor Company part numbers for the pegs being N0520.1AD and N0521.1AD. It appears that the 4th gen and 5th gen take different Buell pegs, I'm guessing because the 4th gen's are male pegs. YMMV...
Sorry to hear that your VFR got banged up...
I bought the Buell XB pegs, P/N P/N: N0006.1AD. Hopefully they'll work, I really went out on limb when I bought them. But hey, they're only $26. I can always ebay them if they can't be made to work.
I'll post pics here of the install. Later!
Rob
