As some or you may or may not know, my 02 is a fixxer upper, lots of miscellaneous parts broken and/or missing. My left front turn signal is deeply scratched and one of the mounting tabs in the back is broken too. I liked the looks of the clear 06+ turn signals so I went ahead and ordered a pair thinking they would be a direct swap, but of course they aren't! Thanks Honda! My question is has anybody made the 06+ turn signals fit the 02-05's? If so, how did you go about doing it?

Thanks,

Chris

You swap out the new back for the clear with the old...... if the old back is too smashed, you could dremel the new base to fit your old socket.
Note: If you go this way, do BOTH sides, since the amount of silver reflect is different '05 to '06.

I've done my 02 with the clear lenses.....front lenses are cheap enough and are a direct fit but the rear lens is a shocker price-wise.

I just had the backing modified so the old sockets fit and ordered some orange LED's and the correct flasher (so it flashes at the correct rate) from these guys http://www.customdynamics.com/

After I did my swap - I read about someone throwing the signal lenses into an oven for a bit which helped to melt the glue/epoxy that holds that backs on. I wish I"d have done that as I ended up "customizing" read - dremel - the backingto fit the bulb. I'd have rather stuck with the OEM connection.

For anyone looking for the orange bulbs in incandescent - which is what the lens was designed to use - the number is a 7443A.

The new google search function works great!!

klinguist did it

VFRiderGal did hers too

Several others too but that's just the first that came up. I have a set sitting next to my desk but haven't had time to tear into it.

Those are great examples for the rear taillight assembly, but I think he was asking about the fronts. No glue at all with those. :fing02:
