Well now that both FZ1s I've owned have been stolen, I was waiting to purchase another bike---a Honda VFR. When the update did not come about I chose a 2008 abs Triumph Sprint ST, with hard bags included, for $11,699. Love vfrs though so if you don't mind I'll continue to hang out (Slammer's video are too cool), and maybe next year?

What happened that made your FZ's get stolen in tandem like that? Hopefully your Triumph won't suffer the same fate?

Should have picked a VFR, nobody steals those 6th gens :goofy:

There should be a new VFR next year, or it will morph into something else. Odds are, Honda's done with the 6th gen after 2009.

What's the story behind your stolen bikes? I'm just curious because I don't know anyone that's been bitten yet and I'd like to know what precautions work and which one's would be bunk...

Don't leave your bike unattended in Compton and you should be okay. :goofy:

lol, now that is  It was the bay area, not socal, and no it wasn't in Oakland or Richmond even, one stolen from San Ramon, chain and covered underground apartment complex, [ 2 years old, 20,000+], and an 06, [2 years old, 30,000+] stolen in front of my condo in Dublin. I'm over it now, you can only do so much to protect your bike. In the bay area there are so many moto thefts and most are from apartment complexes. I keep two locks on now, one through the frame, and block it in with my truck.
I had a hard time chosing between a vfr and sprint, and will still get one, maybe as a second bike? I think I'll wait a year to recover sufficient funds though since insurance paid me the most i could have expected, which still meant i had to take $5k out of savings to afford the new bike. I'm not complaining though. Hope you guys don't mind a Sprint owner hangin' out awhile longer, their website isn't nearly as informational or entertaining.

Sorry to hear about the stolen bikes, but congrats on your new Sprint! :) Very nice bikes, and probably seen by many here as somewhat similar to the VFR but with more power.

And no one will mind you sticking around. Plenty of other former- and future VFR owners here already. ;)

Sprints are great. Love the sound of that triple with and Arrow exhaust. Sweeeet!
