Last 50 of 92- Nicky Hayden in serious accident in Italy What sad news, he didn't survive the accident.
- How Does The 8Th Gen Rate? Is It The Best Vfr Yet? "You're pulling (my leg), right?"
- Time For All Dogs To Be Dead You are creating some fantastic memories, keep it up!
- What did you own before your 6th Gen? A 4th-generation VFR, of course!
- 2014 Vfr 800 Review Damn it, Honda. Just when I'd resolved to ride the wheels off my bought-new in 2006 '06....they issue this thing. I wouldn't buy the first year model, but and updated 800cc V4 is what I've been awaiting all these years.…
- 2013 Vfr1200F Hmm, it might be the time to replace my '06 with this new black/silver version!
- Looking for good places to live in Ventura County Lee, if you live out east, you need to get those "westie" ticket hearings moved to the county seat.
- Valve clearance, dealers refuses to check [image: View Post]Dutchy, on 01 November 2011 - 03:17 AM, said: ask them to make an entry in your service manual where they state the 28k is not required and they vouch for the warranty. And then they stamp and sign.…
- What did you own before your 6th Gen? Why, a 4th-gen, of course!
- not getting hot enough For thread posterity, I'll say that my '06 is on its 4th t-stat. All three previous ones became stuck to varying degrees. No quibble from the mechanic, either - each one agreed after they got the part out.
- Crossrunner Video Holy hell, is that what my 6th-gen VFR engine sounds like to "others"?!!? Wow, wearing earplugs 99% of rides has deadened me to the V4 sound  I don't even hear my own bike's sexiness anymore...
- VFR1200 PAIR removal Tam, it was the second sentence in your first post that brought all the scorn upon you. With all due respect, your follow up post says you were "trying to determine if this mod is a good thing or a bad thing" which many…
- I did something I had never done before. Funny post, Tim. :laughing6-hehe: I think your perp voided his warranty.
- My bags arrived 4 days! wow "Hear, hear!" on that one. No reason to queue up with the cages, in California. I have only a trunk on my 6th-gen for that specific reason. I guess the new VFR can't split with side bags, either. Or "panniers" if you…
- VFR1200T If this bike does indeed come out, you better get to know it's form now. The CHP and others will be using it for sure ;-)
- VFR1200F insurance rates Fasterspider, have you tried Pacific-McGraw? 6K is ludicrous, unless your reference below is to some..."unsportsmanlike conduct" the CHP or local LEOs pinched you for ;-) that will cause any insurer to scrutinize you…
- Received my hard bags Would you say that, were lanesplitting allowed in your jurisdiction, it can safely be done with those bags installed?
- Sold my beloved 2002 Wow, that's a serious amount of mileage on a bike, and a serious amount of fuel saved by using that instead of a car. I know how you feel...once it's gone, you start missing it, wondering if it's being taken care of,…
- vfr1200, my first impressions Thanks for the "from the hip" dealer showroom review, Soichiro. It really sounds like a GREAT evolution of the VFR, based on what I use mine for. But, at the price they are asking - no way. No no no way - it would have…
- My New VFR1200F USA Very nice looking bike - thanks for the report, and I hope you enjoy it! Get out and ride ride ride - it's nearly summer.
- Budget Crisis I will say, a guy got knocked off his bike by a car changing lanes, I came upon him during my commute home on the 110 northbound in the middle of Downtown LA, about a minute after it happened. This was about two years…
- Budget Crisis Thanks for the input. I haven't spent much time in AZ, if that's where you are. Out here round Los Angeles and environs, 80 seems to the be the absolute upper limit, but when everybody in the 1 and 2 lane is doing…
- Budget Crisis Earlier this week I received a driving award for a speed typically tolerated on open stretches of highway, in the HOV lane. Ticketed for 15 over 65 M.P.H. Speeding is speeding, but enforcement is up and the "slop"…
- VFR1200 Upgrades I would add VTEC. *ducks machined cam lobe* Er....actually, I think it's farcical that the thing has such a small tank, given it's marked touring intentions. I'd want about 220 miles, max - without thrashing the…
- What would you do? There was a Federal deduction for the value of sales tax on any vehicle bought new, in 2009, but it expired. It covered motorcycles, too. Why, papa Honda, could you not have sha(f)t out the 1200 during that calendar…
- VFR1200 on the assembly line I'll bet those line workers are drinking, smoking, chewing tobacco and talking about dirty things when they're not aware they're on camera ;-)
- Choose your 1200F accessories !! Notice, in the overview section, when you can "spin" the view around the bike, the do NOT show the head-on view. Could it be because it looks ugly? Or perhaps, most motorcycles just look more exciting from the 3/4…
- VFR1200F dashboard details Pissing My/Self Laughing? Help! [image: View Post]Baketech, on 12 December 2009 - 05:47 PM, said: PMSL.... :goofy:
- Man, I like the White VFR1200. 4th gen = Cheese Grater [image: View Post]AB-Oz, on 09 December 2009 - 05:05 PM, said: 5th gen = Klingon (bird of prey) 6th gen = Origami 7th gen = Breaching Buffalo
- $15,999 Base MSRP Confirmed..... @ 16k, I will just keep my 6th gen and finally buy a car again....a new Honda Fit at only 15K!
- Holy Crap! Well, it's entirely possible that Papa Honda has another bike up their sleeve (or hiding in their pants) for later. Granted, the VFR1200 is now "official". But it's obviously big and expensive (too much so for me - I'd…
- Vfr Does Costco Wow, that is quite...I mean, how does he don this thing? Later, how does he doff it, without falling over, scratching the paint, etc. etc.?? Wait, let me guess: I wouldn't understand, as toilets and drains empty…
- Vfr Does Costco Yikes, I've got nothing on you guys. Apparently you're purveyors of dog crap (via tire) and apparently by the size of it, going to the range with a .50 cal BMG rifle or something? I just move my paper towels, cleaning…
- Vfr Does Costco No foolin' Once I was coming back from (same) Costco, about two years ago. I had a 24 pack of Pacifico, below which was the "base" of a 32-pack of Coke cans (tray-style). Tha particular payload was tied down TIGHT via…
- Vfr Does Costco I have lots of cargo netting. In fact, I link them together for better coverage. This was my biggest haul yet. Though I think it voids my warranty.... [image: Posted Image] [image: Posted Image] By the way,…
- So, I Was Replacing My Thermostat... "ALL YOUR VFR ARE BELONG TO US" ;) [image: View Post]jeremy556, on Oct 11 2009, 08:30 AM, said: They are all CA models, there is no 49 state model.
- New V4 Vfr Web Site Is Up! Uh, no offense, but you didn't have to get that..uh.."verbal" ;-) VFRd is a little more "polite" (usually) than that. [image: View Post]RCJIM, on Aug 10 2009, 09:57 PM, said: ...a f#@king scooter give me a break, a…
- New V4 Vfr Web Site Is Up! And yet, from what I've seen...from the front the thing is so damnably ugly ;-(
- Lane Splitting W/luggage I sometimes spend more time between cars then within a lane. That being said, I avoided side bags and went with a topcase because it's just too tight to do so otherwise. Too many SUVs or construction trucks, they are…
- Engine Temp Whatever happened, Papa Honda installed (and sold) a bad run of T-Stats in the last few years. I am at 22k miles and on my THIRD t-stat. Both have been replaced under the extended warranty. Both were visually inspected…
- Long Distance Tire Options? All I can say, is what NOT to use: Bridgestones, BT020s or 021s. As I'm fond of saying, and you can collective roll your eyes here...."they cup more than a drunken boi at a West Hollywood nightclub". Had to say it. But…
- Arrr... It's Vtec Folks! I likes my WeeTech but I don't like the valve check price.
- Rode A New 6th Gen Yesterday I will say, I really like my ABS setup probably wouldn't buy a bike without it anymore (unless it's a Desmo and simply not offered ;)). That ABS alone was worth the upgrade to my '94. I commute every day, rain or shine.…
- Southern Powersports Custom Vfr's Ah, that WILL be interesting to see.
- Toight Viffer Hmm, what oil do you use? How do you run your chain? What tires are you using? Just kidding! That's a close-cropped shot but still, nice and clear :-)
- Was Gonna Go For A Ride But... Don't worry, Obama will solve all your problems once he takes office! Not political, just a little joke about how we are in a lame duck period and government is getting a bit..uh.."slow".
- At Least They Have The V4 In Their Minds... The photos say Honda The Power of Dreams I say: Honda The Power of Slumber...Zzzzzzxxx Again, wake me when Honda Bear comes to the mouth of the cave and actually poops out a new V4. (that I can afford!)
- What's This Wire Hanging Out? Hmm, I'm stumped. Lose those tank stickers, your bike will track straighter without 'em. :wheel: Welcome to VFRd BTW.
- Question About Abs 19k on the mean streets of Los Angeles and I can tell you that the ABS is really, *really* transparent. My BMW car, when I owned it, pulsed a hell of a lot more than the VFR does. The bike does *not* pulse in any way.…
- Are My Vfr Dreams Crumbling? Coming up on nearly 18.5 K, original (slippery) chain, original battery, 2nd set of tires, a few oil changes, OK, and a replaced T-stat via warranty. I don't baby my bike but I don't abuse it. It's my daily driver and…
