Does anybody know if anybody has bought one of those ebay fairing kits. I know there was a bunch of posts on here about one that was purchased, but I'm wondering if anyone has actually bought one and put it on because I've been waiting a few months for updates on the one purchased and apparently it still isn't installed!! I bought my 04 this last fall with light RH damage and my garage is all heated and ready to work on this thing but I'm trying to figure out if I should start prepping my stuff to paint or if these kits are worth looking into. If anybody knows if they're descent please let me know. If they are I will definately purchase one closer to riding season. I'm mainly wondering the quality of the paint job and I'm hoping that the fit and finish are at least pretty good, and that the shipping process went ok, of course. I know most of you despise motorcycle mechanics, (I worked in dealer shops for about eight years), but at least if I get one of these kits I will install it myself, make any mods needed, and get the rest of you a descent review on these things. In the meantime I'll wait and see if anybody can get me a review on these. Thanks, and I hope somebody can tell me more!!

A friend of mine bought a set of the "Monster Energy" ones for his '01 ZX9 and while I dont know if he had any fitment issues they looked good once they were on the bike. They were a bit too flashy for me but they looked ok.

Please use the Search function, it's your friend!

Just a few threads already here about them on VFRD.

Thank you, and yes I am very aware that the search function is my friend but these links are the ones that
I have already read. If you read these you will find that two of them are the same forum and a final result was never
really given and the other is somebody saying they saw a kit on another kind of bike. I was wondering if anybody
with a vfr has purchased one of these kits, and sucessfully installed it. (pictures?) Thanks anyways!

atxviffer is the only one that I know of who did buy a kit and started to install it, I would PM him asking about it. He is the one in the first thread saying he order, received and started installing the kit, but never posted about finishing it.

I never posted about finishing it because it's not finished! Sorry for inconveniencing the vfr community and anyone who is thinking about buying one of these kits. Times are hard. My bike's a project, it'll get done when I have the time and money. Until then, for more information, pictures or if someone wants to come to Round Rock, TX to see the kit in person, PM me.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for the update Chris and hope things get better for you soon! We all just wanted to see the finished product and will be happy to see the pics of whenever you do get to finish it! :fing02:

I got a kit for my 02 CBR... it's OK and looks decent, but i want stock looks and these require a bit of work to make them fit. I think they are OK for extra or track fairings, but not for everyday (if you want it to totally look stock.)

Thanks for the info! I may just end up painting what I have, it's all in pretty good shape and paintable besides the
side panel. I also like the clean look of stock panels and a good fit and finish. Thanks again!
