I read on another forum that someone successfully adapted V Strom hand guards on their 02 VFR for winter wind protection.
Has anyone done this? And, what model V Strom and year comes with all the hardware? -- as there was some discussion about that too, but with no pics or real answers.
Thanks, vguy
I would to like to know also.
I've been thinking of this also.
I found this a write-up on it and think it would also work on a VFR with little variation.
Click this link.
You could probably do this for under $40.
I think it is worth a shot.

Those and a set of hand warmers and no need for bulky winter gloves. Black or color mathcing paint?

Got the grip heaters... and leave them black.
They are going to look big anyway, so I say why draw attention to them?

I have them on my DRZ they do absolutely nothing to protect my hands from the wind. They do a decent job of protecting my levers when and if I decide to throw her down the road, that's what they are really there for.
