How To Make A Rwb Anniversary Look Better.

I've been fantasizing about upgrading from a fifth gen to a sixth for a while now, and I keep stumbling upon INCREDIBLE deals on the RWB Anniversary models. The problem is that I don't really like how they look--way too much white.

Has anyone seen a RWB that has been customized in a manner that hides some of that white? Pics would be appreciated.

Oh yeah, one other thing............I'M NOT PAINTING IT FLAT BLACK!!! LOL

Yeah, kinda... I remember when I was in tenth grade, I was riding in the car w/ a few friends on the highway and a yellow/purple cbr pulled up alongside as we cruised. he downshifted, and took off in a modest wheelie.

I had just gotten my first bike; a 1971 cb350, which I was plenty proud of, but that cbr gave me a chubbie only my cute teenage girlfriend could cure...

I know a guy local to us that might be interested in your 5th gen. And, you are aware of a new left over anniversary model that's on a showroom floor 5 minutes from my house right?

Leave it alone. Seriously, you'll wipe any long term value that anniversary model might gain in the future. I'm not sure what a pro paint shop might say but painting over a clear coat doesn't sound like a great idea. If nothing else, the surface levels will be off. For what they charge you, you could get the exact paint scheme for probably just a few bucks more. Buy a standard 6gen for a lot less and use the savings to get creative.

I've mentioned here before that in 1991 I bought a perfect RWB 1986 with 1,079 miles on it. At first I thought that the RWB looked a little too Captain America for me. I came very close to having a perfect bike painted British Racing Green. I waited and boy was I glad that I did. I learned to love that paint. I eventually sold the bike but would love to have another someday, mostly because of they way that they look.

The most beautiful RWB I've seen had the stock body paint, but wheels powdercoated white to match.

Local dealer has a used RWB '07 with 1,500 miles for $10,250.00. A dealer in Charlotte, NC has a new one advertised for $8,099.00. Now that is a deal! Take the money saved and paint it pink or some other manly color but 5-6 years from now, when RWB models are in demand, don't forget we warned you.

At DFW Honda, where I got my red '07, they are advertising a new RWB for about $7500. They also have a new RWB ABS for ~$8500.

I found a whole body plastic replacement kit on Ebay for $350 in Repsol colors and VFR800RR on the back...it looked way cool. From Taiwan...not China. If you want a one-off bike, buy a RWB, store the bodywork in a safe protected place and replace it with black and orange Repsol VFR800RR colors! Or if you have any 6th gen and need new bodywork, $350 is probably cheaper than a front stock fender!

The deals are out there it just takes time to find them. I just bought a brand new red 07 with ABS for $7500 from a dealership in Iowa.

I have really wanted to do the Repsol body work on my VFR, I am wondering what the quality of that body work is like. I would have to get the tank painted on my bike to make it match. I would also like the wheels to be orange to match. Is there anyone with the photoshop skills to show what that would look like. I don't have access to such things in my current location. I'll third that. However, if I got a hold of some RWB bodywork, I'd probably powdercoat the wheels gold. I realize this CBR's RWB paint scheme isn't the same, but it would still look really good:

Interestingly enough........i agree that the white wheels really make the bike look incredible.

The RWB thing is starting to grow on me, but finances have dictated another year (or five) of sticking with my 5th gen. It's OK though; I'm starting to think that the VTEC might be a significant step down anyhow.

I would love to see one with a white wheel in front, and a black wheel in back. That would carry the white strip up and back very nicely.

I am not fond of the Gold wheels.

I just have a hard time understanding why you would want to change the look of a 25th anniversary. It is the whole reason why I bought it. Not to mention the nostalgic value of it. If you are going to change the look do something like get the skins off ebay to change the look and keep the oem's. I want to powdercoat my wheels white and get some exhaust but that is it. White wheels are the shit on these bikes. That is just my $.02.

the way to get a black frame and forks is to buy an '09 (it's got a black swingarm, too.) if you get the '09 and decide to do away with your bodywork, let me have first dibs.

Brand new member, first time post.
The reason I am a member is because I was struck by the beauty of the RWB '07. Fast forward to 2009 and I find out that there are still about 25 "still in the box" at Honda's SoCal warehouses. Picking it up next weekend.
Never thought about white powder coated rims....
