I'm 6' and I ride with the levers covered. I've only had the VFR for a couple weeks now, but I'm already finding that the front brake & clutch levers are a bit high for my taste & comfort.
However, apparently Honda doesn't want them lowered as they set the lines up to hit the triple tree and I can't rotate them any further.

Forgot to mention that I have an 07. Don't know if that makes a difference. When I loosened the collars and attempted to rotate them down, the brake lever wouldn't go any further due to brake line contact with the triple tree.
I had the same issue coming from... a motorcycle from a different manufacturer. When i rode dirt bikes as a kid i had the controls pretty much pointed at the ground, and got used to it. I have the VFR controls down as far as they will go (heh) and have gotten used to it. I think with a proper riding position the controls are in about the right spot most of the time.

I had the same experience. I like being forward in the saddle, and having the levers down just feels better for my wrists. I'm still surprised that it doesn't adjust any better though.
