Very nice! Glad you went the "retro" direction with the classic Rothmans colors and markings. The new/present sponsors for HRC like Repsol does not carry the same "cachet" although, some younger riders here that do not know about the Rothmans Honda GP racers or never seen them before, might not appreciate the choice you made and insist on Repsol colors for a 6th gen.

As a young member here, I must reply. I think this bike looks fabulous! Forget the modern repsol scheme, this has class.

Love it. Great job - one of the nicest I've seen on a VFR!
#23

Tasteful and......STUNNING!!!

Inspiring enough to try on my own RWB

Hi Haulin; Very nice , I realize its not an easy task to try and duplicate something like you did here. Just curious, did you have to get the decals made or were you able to buy them from
a company that supplies old style-retro- racer decals? eddie

Man, it looks great. I do have issues with the stripes not lining up but other than that, it looks suh-weet. :fing02:

You created your own special edition VFR. Looks like something Honda should have sold. Very awesome. I'm going all Ricky Bobby over here.
#33
It's unique and that's what counts! I dig it, man.
#34
Lovely job...Rothman's will love you for it (LoL)..but seriously, simply marvellous.
#35
One of a kind VFR. :fing02:
#36
Terrific looking VFR ya got there! :fing02:

If you don't need them regularly for passengers, etc. you could go even a little further to make it look like a racing bike by removing the passenger footpegs. ;)

I'll counter that with the fact that I actually like them NOT matching up. I am usually a "fully sysmetrical" guy but looking at some of the other photos of symetrical stripes, I think they make the bike look too long. If I were reproducing a similar paint job, I would pick your design. ....Wanna trade for a nice '97? mmm hmmm, thought not. There was a rider for Rothman's Honda for years by the name of Wayne Gardner that I wish I could find some posters/photos of , but I have had little success with that search. Anybody got a link?

Just curious as to how much is paint and how much is vinyl???

GREAT PAINT JOB!
I even like it more than the Repsol edition!!!

Wayne's (i.e., factory) paint schemes lined up. That was my original point. FWIW Search google images or check the previous official Honda replica schemes I posted in this thread.
