Well, after being told by my lawyer that my settlement could be as long as a year out, and my wife telling me that I was being more moody than usual, I realized that I had to find a new ride. So, after a little searching, I found this:

The previous owner was a local guy who once perused VFRD regularly, but his interests changed and this poor girl was left to sit in the garage.
It is an 04 with ABS and the best part, 3750 miles when I bought it! He bought it new in 06.

Another member on here bored the pipes for a little deeper rumble and powercoated the heat shields and endcaps black. Not sure about that tho, as it breaks up the black/silver/black/silver look of the bike, but it sounds awesome! Don't mind the blue on the wheels and grips, as my last bike was red and I will be transferring over red grips, and I already slipped the Sargent on. Don't know if I will go with red rim tape, or just pull off the blue....
Riding it home last night was indescribable. That's the only thing I can think to say. I was only off a bike for seven weeks, but my goodness, riding again is like being home.... Sorry, I know I am blabbing. There are a few more pics in my gallery.
What do you all think!?

Azzzzphalt!! :fing02:

Good find and yes ditch the blue. Red rim strips might be cool since your welt is red.

Congrats!! After a 7-week layoff I bet you were going a bit stir-crazy. :blink: p;

+1. I always liked the Yamaha R6 Raven edition (combo of gloss black/flat black with red wheel stripes). I think it would look just as nice on a VFR, esp. with your red welt Sargent. Definitely ditch the blue grips, too, IMO.

Nice! And yes, I'm sure Timmy will be proud...

that aside, Nice bike!

I don't have a problem with blue, it's just that I have a Sargent with a red strip and my black leather jacket has red accents, so it's gonna be red or nothing. Besides, the jacket has had asphalt rubbed into it at 20 mph, so I can't just change it up. Loyalty, don'tcha know.... :)

Do the clear lense thingy to it, You'll be happy that you did!! It makes a nice difference, I'll post up pix if you wanna see it. There are pix on here of Asphalts with em'.

That's a beautiful specimen of a 6th gen you have there - the last and best of all VFR's too probably!!!

Awwwriiiight, Jon! Nice swoop, and great to see you back on wheels. We'll have to christen that bad boy soon on some of our infamous NorFla twisties.

Timmy phoned and said he had to change his drawers! Seriously though, a sweet ride. I really like the blacked out look on the exhaust. Ride safe, JD

To compensate for the 'Thin Blue Line' because: "We cannot change the wind, but we can adjust the sails" and the other famous cliche: "If ya' can't beat em, join em", may I suggest....... :warranty:

Yeah, that bike is a sweeeeet, low mile, unabused cream puff. The former owner is a good guy with a bzzzzzzy job and a big family....and thus life got in the way of the VFR. And yeah, Mikey Q did the pipe mods (it was a trade of pipes, as I recall from a few years ago), so you can be sure it was done right.

So....now we need to plan a ride, huh?

Yeah, I am not too sure about the "double bubble" screen, as I have only ridden it 20 miles. Still waiting on the title so I can make it legal like. As far as the mirrors, I don't know what that mod looks like. And I have been thinking about some Pazzos. Trying to justify the price after just buying the bike....
And dammit, I can't see what Veefer posted at work! Have to wait til I get home.

Trace, Jon, Ric, I can't wait to do another ride! Don't wanna push my luck this weekend tho with out registration, but we will figure something out! :fing02:
