Ill keep it simple. Can I remove the throttle cables for a reroute for new LSL bars without removing the gas tank.
Will I be able to detach them totally from the switch housing and re-run them??
You don't have to pull the tank, just remove the two front mount bolts and prop it up for access to the Push/Pull assembly.
It's a PIA to access the 10mm nuts holding the cables, but it's doable. :fing02:
Yes you don't have to remove the tank.
First, you'll need to remove the clipon from the fork. Next, remove the throttle housing screws and slide the throttle tube off the clipon. Now you'll have enough slack to remove the cable ends from the throttle tube and you can then unscrew the one cable sheath that threads into the housing.
Edit: break loose the brake perch bolts before removing clip on from fork.
Man you guys are fast. Thank you. I gave up a bit ago but I will be back at it in the morning. I propped the tank up and removed the air box for better access to the connections near the intake. I have to reroute the cables for my LSL bars.
