Spain vs Thailand

The majority of us on here seem to be on the fence as to wanting spain only Pilot Road 2's or not. I'm seeing less and less companies carrying the spanish ones lately, I just got my set from Competition Accessories and they were from Thailand. I called them quite upset because I was told that all their tires in stock were made in spain, only to find out today that the little bastard that I ordered from lied and they only have Thailand made ones (doesn't speak well for their sales dept and I doubt I'll ever order anything from them again). All the ones at SportBikeTrackGear and CycleGear are made in Thailand as well. Bikebandit still claims to have some Spain ones, but theirs are also not on sale (coincidence?). I got 11,000 miles out of my last set of PR2's (spain). What kind of mileage are people getting out of the Thailand sets? Has anyone used a spanish set and a thailand set to confirm there is no difference in them, grip, etc. I know at one time when I was originally looking at these tires there was info online about the Thailand ones being bad, but now I can't seem to find that info anymore.... So let's see what data we can compile as a group.

If you do have Spanish PR2's, please say where and when you got them.

I just bought PP from spain,that's my answer.

Mine is made in Spain, purchased from Derby Cycles at the end of January. I only got a PR2 rear.

How do you tell where the tire was made? I just bought a Road2 rear for my bike but I don't see anything on the tire that says where it was made??

My rear tire was stamped on the left side "Made in Spain".
