Hi, I'm new to this site but a long time vfr rider, my first being a 93' (all white with white rims) and have loved them ever since. I have a 2002 right now and just bought another one to fix up(same year)and am needing some front brake calipers for it. I am having a hard time finding any and was wondering if ones off a rc-51 or a cbr 600 would fit? Also wondering if there are any alternates for the front forks or even the fork tubes. Thanks for any help you can give me. Ryan

If it's fork tubes you need, try Forking by Frank.

For front brake calipers, any VFR800 from 2002-2009 will work for you. Try Ebay.
Because of the LBS, no other calipers will work with the stock front forks. Unless you do an ENTIRE front end swap and lose the LBS.
Then, you have to deal with the rear brakes and downsizing the master cylinder.
Calipers from a '98-'01 SHOULD "physically" fit onto your bike (not quite 100% sure, but 90-something) except that the caliper piston diameters are different from the 6th gens, so the master to caliper hydraulic ratio would be altered, and I haven't studied it to see if your mechanical advantage would increase or decrease.
You'd have to run some calcs based on the total slave piston diameters Vs the master cyl diameter and compare.
