Ducati rear axle nut

I like this better than the staked Honda nut. I think if one were to drill a hole for the clip, right where the indentation is for the stake, and also perhaps some blue locktite, you'd never worry about it falling off.

Thing is, I have not been able to find out the dimensions of the Ducati axle threads. Fom what I can gather, the nut is 46mm, just like the VFR, but I haven't been able to dig up the thread size and pitch.


Anyone??? Bueller?

According to this German ebay listing, it is:

M38 x 1.25mm

Good idea, looks trick - especially the aftermarket jobs. I had a look at the MV Agusta nut too, but it's a left hand thread so no dice there

MV Agusta rear wheel nut is M50 x 1.5mm; its sprocket side nut is M48 x 1.5mm.

Nothing for the VFR rear nut size though.
