2000 Yellow???

Anybody know what the technical name is for the yellow Honda used on the VFR in 2000?
Is it Pearl Yellow?

There is a yellow Gold Wing in the parking garage at work today and I'm wondering if it might be the same yellow as a VFR.

I found all the Gold Wing colors, well, I hope I did, the spelling of the word COLOR has me a bit concerned this is not USA data.
I'm going to look close at lunch time andsee if I can see the year badge on this monster of a bike...

2005 colours for 2005 were Pearl Yellow, Arctic White, Metallic Silver, Dark Gray Metallic, Bright Blue Metallic and Candy Black Cherry. Flare Red, Pearl Challenger Brown and the ever popular Candy Red were casualties this year and was also dropped.



2006 colours were Topeka Gold, Challenger Brown Metallic (Titanium), Cabernet Red, Arctic White, and Black was back for 2006 as is Pearl Challenger Brown.



2007 saw Cabernet Red was carried over from the previous year. New colours were Billet Metallic Silver, Crucible Orange Metallic, Nebulous Black and Dark Blue Metallic



2008 saw new colours Pearl Alpine White and Candy Caliente Red. Cabaret Red was retained for this year and Challenger Brown Metallic (Titanium) and Gloss Black were resurrected after last years absence.



2009 saw 6 colours for this year are Metallic Silver, Deep Blue Metallic, Metallic Titanium, Candy Black Cherry, Pearl Yellow and an all-new Metallic Blue.

Thanks FotoMoto, I did not see Y124P Pearl Shining Yellow in any of the Goldwing stuff so the VFR yellow must be different than that bike.




Oh, and Timmy, black suucks... ;p

First, look under the seat, just behind the tank, there should be a sticker attached to the frame that has two lines on it: Y-number.....and just below it the same info without the dash. In the 2002 models...all red the info is:

OK I just checked under the seat of my yeller 2000 VFR800FI and found this number: Y-124p and Y-124. I hope this helps. keep it between the gutters!

It does not sound like the Goldwing is the same shade of yellow as the VFR

And just so you all know, I don't have a VFR yet, so I gots no seat to look under :biggrin:

I have never seen a yellow VFR

I'm going to be looking at a used VFR come 4/9, and I was wondering what shade of yellow it was going to be.

Check the codes, not the names. American Honda likes to use its own names for colors sometimes, despite there being perfectly good names for the colors already... :blink:

They also like to call the colors different names in different countries even when it's the same color, same color code, same bike, and same language. For example, my new NT700V is called "Metallic Silver" in the USA, and "Spangle Silver Metallic" in the UK, but they're actually the same color. So it wouldn't surprise me if the same color could be called different things on two different Hondas.

No, trust me, it's just American Honda that does this! The other Honda importers use the names of the colors as shown in the parts catalogs (i.e., the correct, official Honda color names).
