New Bike!

So I had a chance to ride the 5th gen today for a bit....Ahhhh so this is what a set of fresh tires, brakes, chain/sprockets will do for a bike....She feels brand new...changes direction a bit quicker with the new PP's and nice lever feedback with the fresh pads, But I must have let the chain and sprockets go too far because the bike shifts and rides like a dream now..I didn't even realize how badly it was shifting before so when I first started the ride today I could not believe how smooth the shifter worked, I literally had to rethink my shifting because I must have been preloading the shifter with the old worn stuff and when I used my regular technique I found that the bike was actually shifting before I even had the clutch in. So Smooth It really does feel like new. Best of all I did it all myself with some helpful advice from the guys on this board...I think I easily saved $400 from what the dealer would have gotten me for. So thanks for the help guys, specifically the tip about the cheap tires, and have a great Spring. Keep the Rubber Side Down. :fing02:

I can tell a difference in shifting after just a small chain adjustment. Tires...for sure, new ones handle better than worn ones. Come to think of it, the more money I spend on my bike the better it runs..... :laugh:

Good lord, based on the amount of money I just spent on mine, she should never have been better! Not the case yet though. :dry:

I just checked my Excel spreadsheet and it's up to $5,000 now. Eep! :ohmy:
