Went out for a ride on my '07 Saturday, stopped by the dealer.....came home with this......First impressions are: very smooth power delivery and throttle response, lower RPM torque is surprisingly strong, very quick acceleration, very narrow at the seat allowing better foot contact for shorter riders, very well balanced, seems as (or mabye a little more) nimble than my 6 gen, noticed "0" lash out of the shaft drive. Only got to put about 100 miles on it so far and am anxious to get break in completed. Look forward to many miles on this machine.
unfortunately my local dealer canceled their order for their VFR1200. They wanted to know if I was going to buy it, said I'd have to see it first, they said that wasn't good enough. Oh well. I don't buy ALL my bike from that place :biggrin:
Thanks everyone....I appreciate the compliments. I was using the Axio tailbag on my '07 prior to getting this bike. It seems to fit the lines of the 1200 OK. Out of town the next couple of days...looking forward to the weekend to finish the "break in" :biggrin:

Where did you get the bike? I'm picking up my VFR1200 in Joplin, MO next week.

Damn dude, you're in my home state. Good for you and glad to know one is alive and cruising the best roads Arkansas has to offer. Please do keep us informed, I'm chomping at the bit to get one myself. Break that baby in and take on Hwy 123 outside of Jasper, I'm willing to bet that you'll be grinning from ear to ear with her. :biggrin:

I stopped at one of the local dealerships on Friday last week and didn't see one on the showroom floor so I asked a salesmen when they expected a new 1200f and he said would you like to see one, its in back just out of the crate. I got too take a look at it and have a little sit on her. They were not able to fire it up because it wasn't prepped yet but told me stop back in a day or two and it should be ready. I must say I was impressed with it in person. Very nice looking ride and felt quite light while sitting on it even with its claimed weight. I asked if it was sold and he said not unless you want it......damn wish I had $16K lying around collecting dust....... :biggrin:
Forgot to ask, any mention of accessories such as the luggage, heated grips or centerstand?
Your photos are great, I can't wait to see (and ride) it in person. You got great weather for the first week on the bike. Keep the shiny side up!

Thanks Noel...I have the centerstand currently on order....hope to get the bags after I get my tax return. I am debating if I want to get the heated grips or not, will decide this fall. The genuine accessory hugger also looks pretty decent. All of the accessory part #'s are active in my dealer's system.
