Any advice/pics/ideas for the routing of the rear brake line from the rear brake master cylinder to the rear caliper would be appreciated.
I've removed all of the brackets/valves/hard lines etc from from under the seat - so I have a "clean canvas" to work with. I need to run a single brake line to the caliper and dodge the heat shield, rear down pipes, shock, etc.

The beer is required to tolerate the job of fishing the line through the arm - that job should be saved for the end of the day so you can start the bleeding of the lines in the am. :laughing6-hehe:
It's on extremely rare occasions that you'll find me drinking alcohol while working on motor vehicles - I just don't like doing that. Manual labor, on the other hand... firewood, building, lawn work, etc - no problem! :beer:
I'm planning on running from the rear master cylinder across the rear of the engine, and then down the top of the chain guard. Mainly concerned about getting too close to the rear exhaust pipes, not getting tangled in the shock spring, etc.
Once you get all of the valving, metal lines, PCV, and the funky "U" shaped bracket off the bike, there's a lot of room under there. It actually looks like a normal motorcycle between the engine and the shock now.
I'm making up a stainless steel connector to tie the three caliper pistons together. Already made my prototype, figured out what can be improved, and will make the final one this week. Then I can figure out the route and length of the brake line.
Pete, what I did was to follow the stock line routing from the master cylinder to the rear caliper basically. I still have that bracket in there for now. Removing it is next winter's todo list. LOL Here's a couple of pic's.

I don't know what you will run in to when you try it, but I had to remove my shock to get the super funkified bracket off and out of there. Even then you have to turn and twist it in all sorts of manners. Comes out the right side. Getting to 2 of the 4 bolts that bolt it to the frame will make you invent new curse words. There are four 8 mm allen head socket bolts that attach it to the frame - two on each side.
I'm going to try and re-use the stock black Honda chain guard so I will have to manufacture some sort of collar to use the original clamps. Wish I could find a rubber material softer than Delrin that I could machine down to a spool shape and then split length wise to go over the brake line.
Be leery of those clamps you are using. Though they are supposedly stainless steel, I have had them rust on me in other applications.

I know all about that bracket. LOL That's why it's still there. I had it out when I installed my Ohlins shock last winter. It's a PITA. There's about 6 layers of my skin in there someplace. COOKED! Those clamps will rust a some point. They're not stainless, but clad coated. I got to see what I can find at work when I get a chance.
