You'd think you'd get MORE luggage capacity with a bigger motor, no?[image: View Post]BonusVFR, on 13 April 2010 - 12:26 PM, said:
Odd about the capacity on the 7th gen. But the K1300S has small bags![image: View Post]SEBSPEED, on 13 April 2010 - 01:17 PM, said:

Well, it already weighs "weigh" too much; fitting bigger panniers will further add, I guess.[image: View Post]BonusVFR, on 13 April 2010 - 02:03 PM, said:

What do you guys take on trips? I did a 14 day cross country trip on my K12S this summer using the BMW standard side bags and a Givi 46L topcase and had zero complaints on the amount of shit I was hauling around (even had necessities like laptop, camera(s), tools, any type of charger you could dream of for batteries, laptop, cell, iPod, heated gloves and jacket, tent, sleeping bag, air matress, ...). What is it that you folks need more space for exactly?[image: View Post]SEBSPEED, on 16 April 2010 - 03:11 PM, said:
Woops, caught someone out in a touchy mood! I already explained that I like being able to stow my helmet in the cavernous Honda side bag - whether I'm packed to the gills on a trip or not. What the heck do some of those GS guys need the ridiculously huge aluminum boxes for? I dunno, but I don't make fun of them...[image: View Post]MattB, on 16 April 2010 - 04:01 PM, said:

So where is the pic of a 5th gen with the 1200/1300S bags?[image: View Post]BonusVFR, on 16 April 2010 - 04:38 PM, said:
Are those the same bags as the BMW 800ST too?[image: View Post]MattB, on 16 April 2010 - 10:40 PM, said:

Well, Seb, if you didn't pack like a woman, you wouldn't need more room!!! :goofy:[image: View Post]Knife, on 18 April 2010 - 08:21 AM, said:
I like those cases. Anyone know if the black strap thingies can be temporarily removed so the gray panel parts can be painted the body color?[image: View Post]SEBSPEED, on 13 April 2010 - 10:43 AM, said:
