I've got blue LED bulbs for my instrument lights on the way. But I'm wondering about the install.
From looking at my Haynes manual it looks like I have to tear almost every piece of plastic off the bike to get to the instument cluster and bulbs. Are there any dirty tricks that'll allow me to change the buls without removing every fairing on the bike?

Got to take the upper off, for sure. You can manage to get to it without taking off the sides, with not too much effort. All the stuff up front comes off, though. If you've never taken the headlight plugs off the bulbs, they can be tricky. Got to squeeze in the proper sides to release them.
Some LEDs can work either way, some need to be matched up + and - so be sure to test before you put it back together!
I'd offer to come over and help, but it might take me a while to get there!
