still need help

I have a 1884 vf1000f it had a miss fire but you all helped me fix that now . the reson it had a miss fire was the carb was not getting gas thanks for all your help. but now it is getting to much gas it is a constent drip out the over flow. when it is running and when it is not . i took of the bowl and bent the tab up on the float and it did slow down but still drips. to get it not to drip it has to be bent up so far that it is not getting gas agan. what do you think i should do now. thanks for all your help

Just getting in on this - have you replaced the float valves, or at least the 'needle'? If the rubber is worn it will not seal the gas from coming in, no matter where the float is.

ya i was thinking that to .i think i mite try a rebuild kit but not sure what comes in the kit

99.9% of the time fuel coming out of the overflow tube indicates a float that is not closing off properly. This can either be the float itself or the needle/seat. Should be an easy fix, the only bummer is how expensive carb parts can be.
