So, I'm puttering around the house today, wife and kids are at the mall and I remember that I have a set of Genmars and some headlamps sitting in a box.
Surprised at how easy both were - Picked up the H4 type bulbs, bent the tabs, mounted snapped back together and moved on to the risers.
Two questions I can about the directions:
1. The directions start by saying "remove the clip-ring on top fo the fork tube above the handlebar." Okay, I see it... thin wire-like clip. Came off easy enough. But, I noticed that the directions didn't say to put them back on. Do they go back on or do I just put these in a bag somewhere for later use?
2. The last direction is to "Tighten the pinch bolt on the handlebar and you are finished. Torque 8mm bolts to 14 foot-lbs." Wait, what?? How am I supposed to torque the 8mm bolts (assuming that they're talking about the same 8mm bolts that are on the bottom side of the riser block and line up in the small space where the bars used to fit)? Better yet, why??? Did they mean to tighten the pinchbolt to 14 ft.lbs.??
Otherwise the fit is nice. I'm happy. If it didn't start raining as I as tightening the last pinch bolt, I'd have probably gone for a ride to see how they felt. Next time, I suppose.
