Are there any group buys on helibars going on? I'm looking for some for my 6th gen. I finally got approval from my loan officer (wife).

If there's a group buy, I'm IN. Need a set for 5th Gen.
Thx.

I've never done this before, how do you organize a group buy? Just contact the company?

I contacted heli bars and they say they don't have the stock to do group buys right now. They said maybe in November. So it looks like I'll just be buying them at normal price :(

Thanks for trying.
I've also let Vlad over at Moto World know that there are several of us who are interested in a group buy. I haven't heard anything back from him yet -- don't know if he's a HeliBar dealer, but worth a try...

Hey Fellas,

I need a set for my 5th gen. I'll be ordering soon but will watch this thread for activity.

Thanks,
Chris

I see they aren't interested until November.... but I am interested.

What about a GB on convertibars?

Hello! First post here. I picked up a new-to-me, low-mile 2006 non-ABS less than three weeks ago. I rode it 2,600 miles home, and have concluded that I need a taller windscreen (will try the Givi), and taller bars. Neither situation is critical, though I did have some numbness in my right thumb and index finger and a bit of a sore neck on the right side after several days in the saddle (a Sargent, so all is right there...). I'd be interested in a group buy on Helibars, even if it's in November. I see they retail in various places for $279 USD. What price can be expected in a group buy? Thanks.
#12
I'm in if you guys want to continue organizing this.
#13
Count me in, too. Although I might not be able to wait until November, as my right hand keep going numb after about 30 minutes of riding. Anyone know just how much a group buy will save? I assume it depends on just how many we would be ordering.
#14
I'm in too, but it doesn't seem like anyone's organizing this, since the "organizer" has already purchased a set.
#15
I contacted Motorcycle Superstore but they wouldn't provide a group discount citing their already low prices... They don't have Helis but they have ConvertiBARS for $260 a set in silver or black if anyone is interested.

Looks like the Convertibars that allow adjustable rise are $340 at Motorcycle Superstore--but their ordering systems says "Item not available for order at this time" if you step through and specify bars for a VFR. If Helibars won't have stock until November, I can wait. Did the OP order a set at retail or he is he still in on this next group buy? danmurphymn? Zonker?

My bad...these don't allow complete adjustability, but they work with stock lines. I think they are 1" up and 1" back plus the 16 degrees of down angle adjustment (-8 to +8). Here's the linky

Make that three sets...thanks kia001 from VFR World! :fing02: (I signed up over there too...). I've got a 6th gen, so this is the model I need. I've also decided that the crick in my neck isn't getting any better as I "adapt" to the bike and I don't want to blow off the rest of the summer waiting for a potential group buy in November. The VFR World deal is $249 plus $10 shipping to the US with a company called RG500.com. I've never dealt with them, but I'll take kia's recommendation and I paid using Paypal and Visa so I have some recourse if there are issues. I was told of a Helibars group buy that got the price down to $225, but I haven't been able to find any evidence that price is still available. If you have a 6th gen and are interested, PM kia as he asks and he'll quickly send you the ordering link.
Cheers,
Phil

I've got a set of LSL Risers from Spiegler with the handlebars if anyone has an interest.

Lengthening of OEM cables not required.

Please message or e-mail me if the LSL risers and bars are still available.

Helibars are great. Just got mine installed. I wanted ConvertiBars, but apparently the owner of the company passed away. They stopped production until September. I called every site on the internet I could find that advertised them and there are absolutely NONE to be had. And don't order from the guy selling them on eBay, he doesn't have them either, but I don't know why he has the auction up...dummy.

let mine go with the 04. now I need a pair of new style in silver for the 08
$251 shipped for a single pair was my quote, been waiting 3 weeks for Heli to get stock out.

Was this direct from the manufacturer?

no, I called them first but the parts were in the QC stage of production. guy gave me the numbers of some stocking dealers. (most shops order as they sell)
