Finally Scored an 8 Spoke Wheel for a Fair Price

Well I finally found an 8 spoke wheel at a fair price. Scooped it up right away and had it PC'd to match the front. Other than the lack of a fender eliminator I am pretty satisfied with the bike "as is".

I considered buying an 8-spoker last year, but decided there were other things I needed more. Maybe someday. :wink:

Well how much you pay? Wait don't tell me cause I just bought one too at what I thought was a fair price. Wheels look great in white. I'm going back and forth with my red 5th gen. May just stick with gloss black. Doesn't pop like white does but hides brake dust better.

Lets just say it was under 189.01 and over 188.99 and included a pretty much brand new tire.

Wow, great looking wheels! The white really makes your RWB edition stand out.

The 4th gen 5 spoker is lighter than the earlier 8 spoke wheel and later wheels, but it will never look as as good as the 8 spoker no matter what you do with it. Repaint it, polish it and even put on the kinda goofy looking Thurn center covers on it with the fake center nut!. I think it has to do with how blah looking Honda designed the hub portion of the 4th gen 5 spoker wheel....kinda just round and drum-like.....blahhhh......while the spokes are just kind round and squiddly tentacle arm-like.....blahhhhh...... I guess I have to find myself an 8 spoker too, one day.....

There was a few weeks ago, a nice 8 spoker listed on ebay (Australia). Anyway, bid was just over $100 and I thought I'm gonna have me that wheel! I planned to bid in the last minute to remove the chance of other bidders revising their max bid. Anyway.... auction is coming to a close and I am running around tearing my hair out trying to get the foyer PA doing what it should be 10 min before a show starts and I have to be in the main running the FOH desk in there. So yes, missed it, forgot about it completely. Some lucky bugger got it for $145AUD!!! [image: Posted Image]
