5th Gen TBR M2 Black Series Titanium

Hey Guys,

I installed my new Two Brothers pipe yesterday. I had a hard time finding any 5th gen VFR's online with this pipe so I figured I'd post it if anyone was considering it but wanted to know what it would look like. Sorry, it's been raining for a couple days and the bike and pipe are filthy......but it still looks gooood. The sound is fantastic. It's fairly loud but not obnoxious. I feel a little bad creeping into my neighborhood in early morning.

Off topic question: are those Helibars???

Yep, installed them the same day. I'm still tweeking them daily as I get more miles on them.

The exhaust looks sweet. I am thinking about putting a new pipe on my bike for the summer. I will have to contact TBR and see if they have any specs on the decibels that the exhaust produces. Hopefully it is loud...but not too loud. I live in Edmonton and they just passed a law about maximum noise levels. Of course the law is only for motorcycles! It makes the decision about which exhaust to by a little more difficult.

The Edmonton Police Services will charge violators at three (3) benchmark noise levels:
1. Violators in excess of 92 db(A) at idle for all motorcycles; or
2. Violators in excess of 96 db(A) at 2000 rpm for motorcycles having less than 3 cylinders; or more than 4 cylinders; and/or
3. Violators in excess of 100 db(A) at 5000 rpm for motorcycles with 3 or 4 cylinders

Unless I'm reading that wrong, it actually looks like it's written to favor sportbikes/imported bikes. Or should I say, it looks written to hammer down on Harleys and loud twins. How refreshing!

I agree with that

You won't be disappointed. It's aggressive (loud) but tastefully done. The exhaust note is intoxicating; my wife feels threatened. Geesh, big deal if I need to go out and listen to it when i wake up in the morning.

It does seem that the twins are more of a target. It's a shame that the city had to put a law out for all motorcyclists because of a few people that have made their bikes so loud that people can't stand them. They say that all factory exhausts will conform to the rules however any aftermarket pipe may put the sound above levels. I will have to do some research before spending the money on a new exhaust.

Two Brothers doesn't look like they have a listing. I remember seeing it somewhere that the exhaust is close to 100db. That is, of course, at the loudest point. They do come with the P1 cone that lowers it by a few.  They even make the P1X that lowers it 7-8db.

Mine is still quieter than my friends Ducati 1098s w/termigoni's. :biggrin:

Looks good, like the new design too. Do they have a high mount in that version?
