So I sent a friend to the Laguna Seca MotoGP round with a wad of cash and instructions to hunt down the Pit Bull reps and order a stand for me. It arrived in under a week. Here's my review with photos...
To start off with, I'm biased towards PitBull stands from the get go. From a road racer's perspective PitBull's are worth the extra money you spend because I've never heard of one bending or breaking. While teaching techniques like body position on sport bikes, we can literally put the bike on a PitBull rear stand, put a student on the bike and have them lean off it. We've broken several other brands doing this, but never a PitBull.
The VFR Stand arrived in all it's gold Steel+Zinc Chromate finish. It's roughly 13 lbs.

According to the instructions, which I'll post as soon as I can get my hands on a scanner, you insert the pin into the center stand brackets. Upon further inspection of my VFR, I found the brackets they were referring to.

With the bike on it's side-stand, you simply inset the pin into the brackets.

For added safety, you can insert a locking pin into the holes on the PitBull, which I think you can see in the top photos. From there I simply leaned the bike level and presto!!! Rear tire off the ground, ready for maintenance...
