Installing Kaoko Throttle Lock — Modification Questions

Anybody got any helpful hints before I tackle this project this afternoon? Is there an easier way to release the springs from the stock bars than the two small screw drivers method shown in the instructions?

i used the two small screwdriver method and had my girlfriend help me cause i needed three hands. i held one of the scredrivers she held one while i pulled and twisted it out with a set of vice grips. it was pretty easy took about 5 mins.

That wasn't too bad... about 5 minutes, by myself... now if I can just get the left side bar end back in too (changed grips while I was in the process...)
