I've had Genmars on my '07 for nearly a year now, and really like the difference in comfort they have made. Since riding my wife's new FZ6R with a more upright seating position I'm really considering moving to the Helibars.

Has anyone experienced both, and is it worth the additional $$ to get the difference in bar height?

Genmar 3/4" Rise / Unknown rearward...

Helibar 1 1/4" taller 1 1/2" rearward...

Leaving on a long trip first week of October so I really need to get the Helibars coming if I'm going to make the switch...

Thanks in advance...

There is No real rearward movement with Genmar's other than from the angle of the fork tubes(slight) where as the Heli's 1 1/2" rearward change is sizable.
I've got 76k mile plus on my Vtec w/Heli's. :fing02:

Convertibars would even be better, check price before buying new Heli's.

Pulled the trigger on the Heli's this morning! Thanks for the tip BailyRock - hadn't really considered the advantage of the rearward shift of the Heli's until you mentioned it (I was thinking the rearward shift of the Helis was from the fork angle as well) and took a closer look at some pics of the bars vs. stock. I'm thinking another 3/4" up and the 1 1/2" reaward will make a big difference.

Now just hoping they arrive by Friday... I'm thinking that even with my limited mechanical prowess I can get them installed over a three-day weekend... :goofy:
