So it seems to be pretty well known that its impossible to rotate the brake lever down very far on the stock 5th gen bars. What are the possible fixes? I'm getting a numb right hand on long rides and I'm pretty sure its my wrist angle. I already have genmar risers. Do heli-bars offer more master cylinder to handle bar clearance? Anyone ever cut a notch in the stock bar? How about a different brake lever?

you can grind the little nubbin off the MC , or flip brake line over.

Good question mate ... I know exactly what you mean (you have to lift your fingers "up and over" the lever before squeezing) ... haven't come up with a satisfactory (read cheap) answer yet but this issue is one of my pet hates about the 5th Gen (actually I think all VFRs are the same) ... the bloody lever sits up too high and it isn't a 'natural' angle for the reach from the bar during braking.

the heli-bar info says "Levers adjust lower than stock for increased comfort". Should I read this to mean I can rotate them forward for less wrist bend?
