My high mileage 94 is back on the road.
Over the past few years the charge output was decreasing little by little to the point that it was pulling a drain on the battery after about an hour of riding (my typical commute).
So i bought a stator and rotor off ebay, now the bike charges as best as could be expected, showing a solid charge at about 2G rpm and up.
So at 220K miles its back as my primary commuter.
Long live tthe viffer!

now my '94 with 72k has something to shoot for :fing02: Congratulations for racking up the miles!!
Original engine, and sad to say original clutch, too. Its basically all hiway miles, so the clutch doesnt get much of a workout, but it slips a bit and is on the short list of things to be replaced.
I try to do all the maintenance myself, and it has had its share, but nothing major.
Re-wired most of the charging system, plus a gixxer reg/rec, replaced the rear wheel bearings last year, the rear caliper broke a little while ago, so that got replaced.
T-stats and various gaskets and o-rings from the cooling system have needed replacing, and I have a new (used) radiator waiting for install.
Suspension is RaceTech up front and Lindemann rear.
Etc, etc.

220K?? Holy cow and is this on the original engine?
Heh-heh. I did that when I hit 200K. They sent me a box of swag...t-shirts, hats, stickers, nothing too grand. I plan to do it again when I hit a quarter-million miles (I like the sound of that).
Wow that's amazing, have you thought of sending Honda a testimonial letter including a snapshot of your odometer?

So, you have four (4) Gen 4 VFR750's. That is incredible!
