What is the shaft on the carburetor that the throttle pulley is pressed on to made out of? And is it solid or hollow? I'm thinking of drilling and tapping it for a project but I don't know if it will be able to stand up to it.
Thanks

I believe it's a soft solid steel, but don't quote me on that till I get home and double check.

Putting on a larger pulley? You could get a 1/4 turn throttle instead...

I'm wanting to drill it and tap it for some left handed threads to be able to insert a bolt into it. Not a lot of force but I sure don't want to break anything and have to find some new carbs.
