Will 6th-gen fuel tank fit a 5th-gen?

Will a 2002+ fuel tank fit on my 1998?

My tank has recently rusted through and I was wondering if I can widen my eBay search for 2002+ model year tanks.

This thread will explain how it was done in a 5th gen rebuild after an accident. It a ways in - keep paging through to find it. In person it looks very good. It's not plug and play though.
