My sargent seat seems to fit to tight and can be very hard to get off. Anyone have this problem, or know of a way to fix? It is a 2007 abs.

It is a 2007 abs.Same for me, it does help to hold the key turned while trying to lift the back off. My seat only has a couple hundred miles on it, but it is getting easier to remove. It's still hard to get the rear to click in though, I have to push pretty hard on the center of the rear pillion.
I had the same problem with mine then I made the modifications that Monk suggested about a year ago. Problem solved.
The two outer areas were nobs and I wore them down (Psyc-101)...... The lock lope has plastic inside that was not allowing the lock hock to ingage so I removed some of that as well.............. Just do a little at a time till you have a fit that will allow you just push lightly......... Mind will drop on with out pushing now and feels tight when locked on.

Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for. I felt like a jackass the other day at the store, I had to ask this little old lady to hold the key turned while i pulled the seat off so I could get my helmet.
I have the same problem described with my Corbin. Taking it off isn't really a prob, but getting it to lock on properly is. I'll take a look at the seat pan and see if Monk's mods apply. Thanks! :fing02:
If it makes you feel any better, I had the same problem with my two-piece Sargent seat. Had to do some trimming to get it to lock and unlock correctly.
