De-Dumboed Looking for Billet Marker Lights

I did the dedumbo last summer after a slight mishap in the gravel. For the front lights I was looking for a solution so I did the GSXR mirrors with Darth Bling mounts. After a year of the cheap mirrors that are basically worthless, and many comments like "your bike looks like a spaceship now" I am ready to go back to 2000/2001 Honda mirrors with some kind of indicator where the dumbo lights used to reside.

I have looked pretty hard and I have not found any flush mount style marker lights that don't look cheap and crappy. I scoured Lockhart-Phillips and found a couple that aren't too bad, just wondering what other people are using.

I would really like a billet aluminum housing with a dual filament bulb, Anybody know of anything out there that looks nice?

Thanks

I also looked for a long time to find something that was better with no luck; but I found these smoked oem style units
and they seem to lessen the profile of them. I have a good photo of them here on page 4 of the 5th gen (a project in the works)

Oooo. Just remembered. Go check out SAFE-T's gallery he has a sexy lookin blinker mod. Not a flush mount but a much cleaner mirror blinker.

The OP has a 5th gen, and you have the lovely 6th gen (along with a lovely wife  ), so the Darth Bling mounts won't work I don't think. Just some food for thought.

Those are Aprilia mirrors and they offer an excellent view of the sky at all times.

CBR1000RR mirrors, Triumph Sprint (late model) mirrors, and many aftermarkets are all turn signal included.

Just my 2 cents worth. I used the mirrors from a Blackbird. Look great, had to make adapters to fit my 3rd gen. Kinda low, but good visibility and usefulness. See my gallery for pics.

Why not just paint the back end of the indicator plastic to match the fairing? You can see the extent of the reflector inside - just follow its edge with the masking tape.
My gallery shows the overall effect of this in a couple of pix, and below is a close-up of the unit. I know the colour is not a perfect match, but it passes muster for all but the most observant.

I already plastic welded patches where the original dumbo lights were from the backside and had it painted last summer. OEM style blinkers are not an option anymore, thats why I was hoping that someone knew of a place to get some good quality marker lights. I absolutely wont go for any kind of aftermarket mirror after the experience with the ones I have, I dont care if the new Honda ones are 250 bucks, being able to see behind you is worth it!!

I put some small convex stick-on mirrors on and now I can see who I am beating :laughing6-hehe:

I de-dumboed my '01, put some CF inserts from Rivcyko in the holes, and some LP knockoff indicators with clear lenses and amber bulbs. Much btterer, but I may replace them yet again with some that stick out just a leedle more, as they don't give enough visibility to other traffic that's at an angle from front-on. However, if nothing else, they don't smash into the road if the bike's dropped, and munter up the inner and outer fairings. (Yes, I have tried this unfortunately).[image: Posted Image]

After a stupid amount of searching, I am settling for these, they still seem a little large, but I can't wait to get them and put them on. Better yet, I can't wait to get Honda OEM mirrors back on it, so I can see again!!
