Battery Spark

I did a stupid thing today, when trying to remove the battery terminal to install a battery harness for heated gear. At first I tried to remove the negative terminal with the screwdriver but it was on too tight. So I got out a 10MM wrench when the wrench made contact with both the positive and negative post. It started to spark and I quickly removed the wrench, the wrench had few burn marks and was extremely HOT.
After the initial shock, I installed the battery using a socket wrench and hoped I didn�t do any damage. The bike started and shifted into D,S and manual mode, didn�t have time to take it out for a ride.
Could I have damaged my bike in anyway?

Very doubtful you did any harm to the bike. You simply shorted the battery, which would cause a low voltage condition very briefly. It's not like you pulled any current through any of the bikes wiring or anything. No harm done. But your 10mm wrench is going to hide in the drawer the next time you go for it!

Check the fuse box for any blown fuses. if they are fine you are good.

As is said in the Good Book, get rid of the log in your eye before trying to get rid of the speck in mine!!! :laughing6-hehe:

Might have damaged the battery. Don't think anything else would have gotten damaged. Electricity flows to the path of least resistance, so everything probably went through the wrench and not anything else.
