I was eyeballin the bt-023's. But then i was wondering if i should do teh GT spec (for heaver bikes) or normal spec.
What are you guy runnin and how do you like them? What kinda milage you getting out of em?
I've run the GT spec bt23 rear, and a road 2 rear still will beat it on life by 20% , what ever you normally get on milege.
The Gt spec bt23 rear offers about 30% more life over the BT21 rear, the 21 is a better performance tire by a long shot
Ive only ran the rear, and wanted to be off the tire before any serious rain came about, it was slick in slow corners , high speed sweepers its fine, atleast in the dry. But as a commuting tire its probably okay.
But I tell you this, if Im 100 mph and dropping into a rainy wet elevatinal sweeper, BT23 is not my first choice, I trust a road 2 more.
I only was able to test the GT23 in rain very briefly, hitting one of my known slickest corners, and it failed miserably. At the same time if you do alot of 2 up riding, I think it would be a great tire, cause the older it gets the better it gets performance wise. Most tires it works the other way
THe tire was so stout, you cant even compress it to get into the center of the rim
Im at 9,200 miles and my front is completely bald. The rear look to have bout 2k left (both bt-21). Im actually very happy with the bt21 rear, but the front wore down very fast (i prolly shoulda replaced it at 6500).
Tempted to try bt23 front and run a bt21 rear again.
